Chapter Meetings
When and where?
The Etowah Chapter has monthly meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Meetings are held at (Sardis Presbyterian Church) (6101 Sardis Rd, Charlotte, NC 28270). We meet at the Troop 33 Scout hut which is Across the street from the church
All OA members are encouraged to attend each meeting; however, at least one representative from each troop is expected to attend the meeting.
The Why
Chapter meetings are where we discuss and plan all chapter business, Upcoming events, days of service, and fun locations to host events are all brought up and discussed here. One unit representative needs to be present at every meeting (Most commonly the OA Rep) so that information can be dispersed to their represented unit. OA Reps are the pipeline between our chapter and your unit so its crucial your unit sends someone to these meeting. If the chapter is hosting an event it is the OA Reps responsibilities to get that information to your troop. Units may also choose to appoint an adult OA Member to become an OA Rep Advisor in their unit helping to keep track of information and important details.
